Underground mining of high-grade silver, copper, lead and zinc ore at Keystone is on hold pending the outcome of the Bureau of Land Management public comment period. There is no assurance as to the outcome of that process or its timing.
The site itself is developed and the plant is certificated. The work in front of the project now is the drilling and engineering that the mine plan depends on — identifying the main ore body, installing groundwater monitoring wells, and completing the Mine Plan of Operation and Water Pollution Control Plan.
